On Saturday, Colleen graciously hosted me, Miss and Jen for an afternoon learning how to make gnocchi. Colleen just got her sommelier certificate on Friday, and she did the wine pairings which were yummy. We made a gorgonzola sauce, a pesto with tomatoes, and a pumpkin gnocci in a sage butter sauce. My fave was the gorgonzola - regular potato gnocchi with a sauce made from cream, blue cheese, salt & pepper - so rich and yummy with whatever the red wine was (it was our fourth course/fourth bottle so by that time I wasn't paying real close attention!). Shawn took Andy to a birthday party, so Sylvia came with me to help make gnocchi.
