A Night on the Town!

Yes, a night with adults -- dinner and bowling! Melissa, Tod, Jen, and Jerome joined us for a fun night out, and I took home the how-did-she-get-so-loopy-with-only-3-margaritas award. Alas, Tod proved himself the superior bowler, seriously destroying my hopes of being the reigning bowling champ of our group (I wasn't close, but we won't even talk about Shawn's score). Crayons!

Andy got his first set of crayons last week. His first art is posted below. While Andy got the jumbo sized, wall washable crayons, I got myself the coveted 64-pack (with the sharpener in the back!), and promptly rearranged them in rainbow order, just like the old days. Hey, if you're going to be drawing, you might as well draw in style. The challenge is keeping Andy from getting too interested in MY crayons!

When We Were Young

We came across this photo the other day -- from Octoberfest 1998, when we'd been dating for less than 3 months. We didn't realize how much we'd changed (AGED) until we saw this photo! Ah, youth....

Fun on the Patio

Andy doesn't like to pass the patio without taking a turn sweeping up. After returning from his very first visit to the dentist, Andy spent some time getting things all cleaned up!

Meet "Butterscotch"

Herbie is normally a rough-and-tumble, wild and smelly dog. So after a thorough grooming, including a significant trim around his ears and feet, he's ... emasculated. So, we're calling him "Butterscotch." At least until he rolls in something smelly. Andy and Butterscotch on the front porch.

And Now, the Vacuum Cleaner!

Andy has graduated from his broom to a vacuum cleaner! This boy loves to clean dirt (a huge asset in our household). This was a gift from Nonna - thank you!
