Macy turns 2!

Another post that's a few months late, but better late than never!! Sweet Macy turned 2 at a party in her new house complete with a huge bouncy house that Andy still talks about! The bouncy house slide - fun sliding down and climbing up, and even more fun when there's traffic going both ways!

Jerome and baby Amelie!

Mmmmm, blue frosting!
Good friends!

A little decoration

Since Andy had to make do with a pink-apricot room in the old house (it wasn't in the deed or anything, I just refused to repaint it), I felt it was only fair for his room to be the first one decorated in the new house. These cool wall decals and two shades of blue paint did the trick! I put a few on the back of the door as well, in an attempt to block out the unfortunate image of a scary alien guy on the back of Andy's door. Look carefully.... (and you can't even see the feet in this photo, which add another factor of weird/scary).

Peace dudes

Sylvia's 2nd Birthday!

Sylvia had an Elmo brunch birthday party to celebrate turning 2! (This was 2.5 months ago, I'm a little late with the photos.) It was nice to celebrate in our new house! The sweet sweet birthday girl!

My dreams come true: everyone playing in our new yard. The kids decided to put on some musical/gymnastic routines for the grown-ups.

A couple posts on Mom's blog

Nonna and Grandpa take the kids to the Nutcracker:

Funny faces

Andy and Sylvia got their faces painted at a friend's birthday party. Batman (obviously) and a butterfly!

Last day in our first house

After blowing the leaves one last time, we packed up our gear and locked the door for the last time. What DIDN'T we do to this house over eight years? The kitchen counters. Otherwise, it was blood, sweat and tears (yes, a few tears) - the yard which used to be all overgrown weeds and bushes, the brick work and patio that we did ourselves for many late nights when Andy was 4 months old, the electrical and mechanical systems, insulation, kitchen cabinet installation and appliances, bathroom and closet remodels, sunroom remodel, living room floor leveling and new hardwoods, a new front porch and a fresh coat of paint. Well, we didn't do ALL of that ourselves, but it feels like it! We're glad to move on to a house that works far better for our family now.

But this was a great first house, and it will always be the home that we brought our babies home to, where they took their first steps and said their first words, had their first birthdays and Christmases, and where we danced and danced and danced.

Bath time friends!

After a power call... (note the hand gesturing) ... she took a power nap.

Hot days!

The end of July was hot hot hot in Seattle! These were our last couple of weeks in our first house. Our neighbors Carter and Graham kept Andy company running naked through the sprinklers together!
After dinner at Rositas (I'm guessing because at this point my memory doesn't extend that far back) the kids played at Green Lake park with Bryn and Macy!
HOT (and I don't just mean the weather)

More hot days in July!
