This morning I told the kids that we're going to Disneyland on Monday for 5 days. After watching videos of some of the rides on line, the kids went to play in their rooms. A little while later I heard Andy asking if Sylvia had a swimsuit, and I realized my sweet little angels were busy packing their belongings to hit the road! I heard Andy excitedly counting out 5 pull-ups, and watched him searching Sylvia's drawers for matching pajama bottoms. They proudly brought their backpacks out, ready to go.

After they were asleep, I opened their packs to see just what's critical to a 5 and 2 year old, respectively. Here's what I found:
Andy's backpack

Tigmie (his primary lovey)
Heart and bear (secondary)
Chapter book
Disney luggage tag
Calculator
Tinker toy arrow
Five pull ups
Bathing suit
Pajamas
Sylvia's backpack
Baby doll
Quiet baby
Rabbit lovey
Two coin purses (one with clip-on earings inside)
Three books
Doll comb and brush
Mini etch-a-sketch
Disney luggage tag
5 pull ups
Mismatched pajamas
I'm so moved by their little bitty packing effort that my heart feels like it's being squeezed.
