Andy has a great time playing with playdough these days. He takes it very seriously. When we make "pizza," he throws the "dough" in the air. But he does mix the colors together -- and if you know me, you know that drives me crazy!

Snow

Okay, this was several weeks ago, but I thought folks might like to see what a "big snow" in Seattle looks like. Hard to believe this brings the city to a standstill!Herb loves the snow!

Happy New Year!

We spent new year's eve day at the zoo with Melissa and Bryn (here, wearing one of Andy's jackets against her better judgment). The kids loved the animals and their hippo juice bottles!Later, Miss, Tod and Bryn came over for new year's eve dinner and a little early evening celebration!
It's not midnight, but someone wanted a kiss anyway...


You can tell the adults in this picture are just trying to avoid getting any celebratory smacks in the face!

At the movies

Last Friday we met up with Nonna, Monica and Elisa at the movies to see Happy Feet -- Andy was glued to it right up until the moment he fell asleep, Elisa found some of it rather scary, and the rest of us just thought it wasn't a very good movie. Sooooo, we ditched about half way through and went for lunch! Still a very fun day by any standard, even if the movie wasn't a huge success.

Playing in the snow!

Despite some snow in the eyes (and one ill-advised abbreviated nap before sledding), we did manage to have some fun in the snow at Mt. Baker! Andy's basic sledding pose below -- a steely grip and focused face.
