I'm back!

I owe my hiatus on a computer that (a) was overburdened with two years of photos; (b) had absolutely zero battery left so that if the power cord fell out it would turn off and need to be plugged back in and rebooted -- something that is inconvenient when you're giving a presentation by the way; (c) had a half-broken power cord which, combined with the zero battery issue, made any blogging or other effort over 1 minute a bit of a gamble; and (d) was burdened with the spyware of 99% of the spy folk out there, I'm sure.

What has changed, you ask?

After a few months of recouperating after exhausting ourselves with the house renovations, sale, purchase and move, we finally had the energy to apply ourselves to something other than a beer and sitting down. Tonight, my wonderful (and quite handy) husband refurbished my computer with a new battery and power cord, double the RAM, and a little "defragging" -- which reminds me of Fraggle Rock but actually cleans the computer or something.

Where did we leave off? Somewhere in late spring or early summer. So, let's start with an easy marker: the 4th of July!
